Methods of Conservation of Monuments

Cultural heritage or historical monuments are very important for humans, since they are actualy archaelogical evidences, and can also serve as a tool for the education of the younger generatons about their ancestors. So the cultural heritages must needs be conserved in order to keep them in good condition for a long time and to protect them against degradation processes.

Methods of conservation, do not only comprise of how to apply the material and methods, but have to be equalled by an appropriate knowledge about the building material it self, and also on the causes and processes of the deterioration. Moreover the methods have to be based on the results of laboratory as well as field experiments and analyses, since our target of preservation in only for tens, but for hundreds, or even thousands of years.
